Personal Project(Design & Development)
Most movie tracking platforms have crowded interfaces and don’t always combine movies, series, and animes into a single, clean tool. I wanted a simple, all-in-one tracker with a minimalist design to manage my watchlist without any visual noise.
Watchr is a Progressive Web App (PWA) built to solve this. It works like a custom to-do list for entertainment, allowing users to search and track the movies, series, and animes they have watched or want to watch. The project focuses on a clean layout and fast navigation.
Design & UI
Minimalist Interface
Designed an ultra-clean layout focused strictly on media posters and essential info, removing all unnecessary options to keep the view light and easy to read.
PWA ACCESS
Implemented full cross-platform Progressive Web App support, enabling users to add the application to their phone or desktop home screen with instant native-like responsiveness.
Development
React, TS & TanStack Stack
Developed the core application structure from scratch using React and TypeScript for strong code reliability, using TanStack Query to handle asynchronous API states, automatic background caching, and smooth pagination.
Shadcn UI & Tailwind Grid
Built the user interface and responsive media grid using Tailwind CSS combined with Shadcn UI components, ensuring exact component alignment, precise padding, and a sharp visual design.
TMDB Account Sync
Integrated user authentication to allow anyone with a TMDB account to instantly sync, view, and manage (add or remove) elements directly inside their native Watchlist and Favorites with a cleaner custom UI.
