Personal Project(Design & Development)
Checking the forecast on weather websites takes too much time on a mobile phone. It requires navigating and scrolling just to find the specific section you need. When you are about to go outside, you just want a single answer: will it rain in the next hour?
Rainr is a personal project built to solve this frustration and learn React with TypeScript. It is a mobile-first Progressive Web App (PWA) that focuses entirely on immediate rain data and temperature. The goal was to build a custom minimalist interface to access the exact information you need in one second, on both mobile and desktop.

Design & UI
Minimalist Interface
Designed a clean, distraction-free layout to display temperature and rain data immediately on a single page, without any scrolling.
PWA ACCESS
Configured as a Progressive Web App so users can save it directly to their smartphone home screen or desktop for fast, native-like access.
Development
React & TypeScript Stack
Developed from scratch using React and TypeScript for strong code reliability, with Vite to ensure instant page loading times.
Shadcn UI & Tailwind
Built the user interface quickly using Tailwind CSS and components from Shadcn UI, keeping the visual design sharp and the code maintainable.
15-Minute Forecasts
Integrated browser geolocation and a reliable weather API to fetch real-time local data, displaying precise rain predictions every 15 minutes.
